Caught Being Safe! (CBS!) 

is a state-wide program where uniformed personnel reward kids for wearing helmets, life jackets and using safe behaviors by giving them a coupon for a free ice cream cone or apple slices at participating McDonald's Restaurants of Michigan. Over 500 agencies around Michigan including state and city police patrols, sheriffs departments, fire departments, state parks, emergency services and coast guard stations are participating agencies in the wonderful program.

Caught Being Safe! has shown a significant increase in both helmet utilization and public awareness regarding the critical importance of wearing a bicycle helmet. This program has impacted not only children but adults as well.
