Fni fall Fundraiser
Each year FNI hosts an anticipated event featuring a lovely dinner, socializing and top-notch entertainment. Below is information on what funds have been used for thanks to successful past events and wonderful supporters like you.
2019 Field of Hope featuring One Night in Memphis
The proceeds from the 2019 Fundraiser will support a new Field Neurosciences Institute Research Fellowship. This fellowship will be used for new developments in emerging areas of FNI research, including training on cutting-edge intravascular surgical techniques and for FNI researchers working on new strategies to treat stroke and other neurological disorders. This fellowship will provide a critical source of support for worthy young men and women who embrace FNI’s mission to find effective treatments for the vast array of brain disorders.
2018 Field of Hope featuring The Phat Pack
The proceeds from the 2018 Fundraiser will purchase a Gene Sequencer. It will be used to help identify genes; or combination of genes that are associated with specific modes of neurological disorders. Neurologists would be able to offer genetic screening and offer genetic counseling. It can enable us to help patients utilize treatment strategies that best fit their genetic profile.
2017 Field of Hope starring Ronnie Milsap
Proceeds will go toward obtaining a new flow probe, a life-saving surgical instrument to help FNI neurosurgeons monitor blood flow during brain surgery, and a state-of-the-art nanodrop spectrophotometer, which will allow FNI researchers to measure minute levels of DNA and brain molecules in their studies to discover new treatments for stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurological disorders.
